Google and FCA Announce Deal to Build Self-Driving Pacifica

Imagine if you could get around more easily and safely, with absolutely no driving required. It's all part of Google's Self-Driving Car Project. With several years of testing under the tech giant's belt, Google is now planning to integrate self-driving sensors and software into 100 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid prototypes. It's all part of the new partnership formed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Google.

“FCA has a nimble and experienced engineering team and the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan is well-suited for Google’s self-driving technology,” John Krafcik, the CEO of Google’s self-driving car project, said in a report. “The opportunity to work closely with FCA engineers will accelerate our efforts to develop a fully self-driving car that will make our roads safer and bring everyday destinations within reach for those who cannot drive.”

While the self-driving Pacifica is nothing more than a pure concept at this point, we do have a number of 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivans available. Come visit our showroom at 543 N McPherson Church Rd Fayetteville, NC 28303 for a test drive this weekend.
