Check out the Nutcracker at the Crown Collesium

The "Nutcracker", directed by Charlotte Blume, returns to the Crown Theatre with a cast of 60 dancers and actors. Tickets are available through the Crown Center box office; adults $14, Military $11, Children $5 in advance, complimentary tickets are available while supplies last at Harris Teeter and in the children's department of the Headquarters Library, the East Regional Library, the Hope Mills Library and the North Regional Library.


The Show runs Saturday December 6th, Saturday December 12th, and Sunday December 13th. Curtain time is 3:00 pm. A performance is offered for area schools on Friday, December 11th at 10:00am. Schools or classes may make reservations by calling the Ballet Company office at (910)485-4965. Military appreciation day is Saturday December 12th and tickets are $11.

It was a historic day for Jimmie Johnson & Hendrick Motorsports this past Sunday at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship in Homestead, FL. Jimmie Johnson captured his 4th Cup title, becoming the first driver to ever win four championships in a row. Hendrick Motorsports had a 1-2-3 sweep. Making the organization the first ever to capture the top three final spots in NASCAR's Chase format.

Military Appreciation Day is October 21st. This day will feature special activities and special performances by Military bands. Active Duty, Reserve and Nation Guard and Spouses with valid military i.d. will be admitted free, along with 4 guests.
